We take the slats that from a lobster trap and carve out these oval links then tension set them with 16 gauge silver wire.  They are hung on sterling silver earwires.  The total length of each one is approximately 2 3/4" long.  Each wooden oval link is approximately 1" wide and 1 1/4" long.  They are very light.
